What conditions do we treat?
TEAR DUCT OBSTRUCTION IN ADULTS
Tear duct obstruction in adults occurs when the duct through which tears drain is blocked, resulting in blocked tear ducts. Normally, tears travel from the eye to the nose through fine ducts. This is evident, for example, when we cry and feel tears in our nose.
TEAR DUCT OBSTRUCTION IN NEWBORNS
Tear duct obstruction in newborns refers to the lack of adequate drainage of tears. A large percentage of babies are born without spontaneously open tear ducts.
